i got the image to work properly a little while ago, but now it doesn't seem to be working!

It's a glitch. Try using an image with alpha transparency instead of index transparency.

Myspace is really random like this... it does it with animated *.gifs, too.

As far as I know, *.png files are the only files with working transparencies on websites. I might be wrong, though.

myspace is teh suck. You really want to div over the whole page.

I mean the whole page. Then css and design to your own will.... (its against myspace tos but ive done mine like this for ages and havent got banned)
