You'll need to know a bit about CSS in order to apply it, but I'd suggest reading through this tutorial: http://5thirtyone.com/myspace-part1-div-...
Once you have the first div overlay covering up everything it's a matter of creating a div with the class name and inserting your img tag inside.
Sometimes your div won't cover the entire page as you may have comments that resize the layout of your profile. You should look into grabbing a comment image resizer to take care of that.
