They are these blob-like characters that Goths and emos like. I usually see them on their myspace pages.

they have them on youtube...they are so cute!!! :D It's like an comicbook in a way..but of sketched cuteys. It is called "Pon %26amp; Zi."
Those little emo fellows are made by Jeff Thomas an artist from LA who is now famous for his art on emo love and culture. I think they are cute. I do believe the characters names are Pon and Zi. Check out the website below for more about Jeff and his characters Pon and Zi.

these "blobs" don't have gender (ooh, creepy) because

also, the drawer person is gay. :) not in a mean way, but it's true!
anyway, pon is the yellow on and zi is the blue one. pon is usually the one who gets hurt and does ANYTHING for zi. zi is the one who just kinda sits there and looks at pon like it's an idiot. :)
I'm using it for editing pictures and making graphics for myspace trains.

DON'T tell me to look for pre-made stuff or tutorials, because my question isn't about how to make it, it's about getting a good theme.
The theme should match your logo, much like the one in your picture matches the multi colored Olympic rings logo.
Notice each color (and only those colors) from the logo are used throughout the image. Thats what makes it look so good ;).
I usually design the logo first, and then cater my theme towards that, and since that is the traditional logo for the Olympics obviously this person does the same.
I have always found less is more. A lot depends on your purpose and content. If you don't have much content, something reallly fancy may not be worth the effort. A simple flash page would be suitable. Like the previous person said, match colors and stuff. It's called a theme for a reason, it has certain common styles and elements. If you are consistent, it will look good.
i pasted and cropped a picture i got off the internet to make as my myspace background...i need to get it from a webpage though. so i figured i would make one with the pic (like google images)...but i dont know how. how would i add a picture of my own to google images?

If you're lazy, I'll summarize, a myspace template started hotlinking an image someone owns, now, technically that could be construed as illegal, except the image is in a library availble to the public. The problem was, people would use the image as-is, not download and re-host, so it was eating up his bandwidth, and he had to do something about it...
In short, this led to over 25,000 myspace pageviews of goatsee, one of the lesser great horrors of the internet consisting of a man practicing the rare and forbidden art of anal-stretching...
So, thousands of people saw the inside of a man's rectum (trust me, not really pretty), because people don't know what financial harm their image-linking could do...
So what are the opinions out there, was the goatseing hilarious? evil? noble?
That's pretty funny, but a little overboard. Instead of doing that, he could have created an image that said something along the lines of "I'm an image theif".
Considering that the people who fell prey to this actually stole the image and used it illegally, there is nothing they can do to rectum, i mean, rectify it...

I love it.
However, the flash box (on the left) needs a boarder. It's way to hard on the eyes when it meets the rest of the site.
Both "home" and "feedback" aren't centered. Have you also considered a small clip-art type image near them?
It's a common design practice to put a "Copyright blah blah" at the bottom so people know that's the bottom of your site. You could really use this, as your site kinda just drifts off.
The sides look kinda empty. Maybe some gradients (a la TorrentSpy) for the sides?
I do love it though, I'm just being critical because you asked.
Nice site. Try looking at similar sites to get ideas for content to add.

it's pretty good, from what I can see. The biggest thing I can see that probably needs to be fixed.. would be three things:
1. the page is too long horizontally. If you make it at most about 950 wide with a buffer (usually a collar or a nice tile), it makes it look a little better.
2. You probably should get a copyright on the names, images, and design, if possible, with it listed on the bottom of the page. (Disclaimer would also be a good tie-in)
3. It really does need a nice border on the bottom to box in the site.
